Soft, not slimy! Banana slug socks. Inspired by all of the little pals I’d see on my walk to the bus stop as a child in the PNW. Perfect for a UC Santa Cruz student as well!

This pattern is written for 2 sizes, S & L, but can be customized to fit any foot using different sized needles.

I’ve incorporated ladder back jacquard with my stranded colorwork on this sock because it has some loooong floats. I’ve included written instructions but if you’ve never done this technique a video tutorial can help too. (This was MY first time doing LBJ so it IS doable if you’ve never done it before!)

Your gauge may vary from mine, I am a looser knitter. If this is the case, you may choose to use a 1 &1.5 instead of a 0 & 1.

I used less than a full skein of my background color, and a much much smaller amount of my contrast & heel colors. These would be a great use of a mini skein.
