I wanted a slouchy beanie for the fall, so I came up with this pattern using a favorite stitch of mine. It’s easy enough for a novice knitter, but interesting enough for experienced knitters. The hat is worked from the bottom up, using the Waffle Stitch.

There is no gauge for this, but the stitch pattern is 2 + 1, so you can adjust the number of stitches to change the hat size.
