This pattern is seamless, knit from the top down. The straps and bib portion of the pattern are knit back and forth on circs. After you join at the waistband, you’ll begin knitting in the round. I’ve included instructions for short rows but these are optional. These britches are meant to fit a bit baggy through the waist.

Materials needed
Worsted weight yarn 220-325 yards
For Bayside Britches Longies, you’ll need 325-435 yards.
4 Stitch markers
4-6 buttons
2 Stitch holders or waste yarn
3 dbl pointed needles same size as larger needle used
Size US 6 16” (4.0mm) circs (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Size US 9 16” (5.5mm) circs (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Gauge for bib portion 5” stchs per inch
Gauge for body 4-4.5” stchs per inch
