'Be The Change' Mittens
These are my favourite mittens to make for donations to charities like homeless shelters and women’s shelters. They are a very quick project – a pair of the ‘small’ mitts usually takes under 90 minutes.
They use simple stitches, which make them suitable for the advanced beginner.
This pattern is written in standard US crochet terms. Instructions are provided for making the mittens in small (teen/petite woman), medium (average woman), and large (curvaceous woman/men’s.) The samples in the photographs were crocheted with Patons Shetland Chunky in ‘Pewter’ and ‘Earthy Brown,’ and each pair used less than one 85g/3 oz ball.
I hope you enjoy the pattern & consider making an extra pair for your favourite local charity!
