The pattern is written for a 3 inch high beaded tree with notes on how to make different sizes, meterage listed is for the basic 3 inch version, other sizes or yarns used will need less or more. Yarn specified is the one I have used but really anything that gives a firm, reasonably dense fabric will be suitable, alternatively you could make a cardboard cone to reinforce it if it is a little floppy.
