On today’s menu is bacon, eggs, beans, sausage, tomato and waffle. These play foods only require small amounts of yarn so it is a super way to use up any ends of yarn skeins/balls to avoid waste. The beans pattern incorporates knitting bobbles, and the tomato uses Fair-Isle (stranded) colour-work.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the breakfast is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle and toy filling.

SIZES
One size only - 7cm to 12cm long.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
