This easy top-down crescent shaped shawl has a little bit of everything. Twisted stitches travel like tendrils across the smooth stocking stitch surface and merge into an easy cable stitch that branches out to embrace a simple stranded flower motif. Slipped stitches merge into a simple lace border featuring a cute little lacy flower.

(If you wish to substitute yarn, choose a yarn for the flower motif that has a slight halo, so as to better obscure the yarn carried at the back of the piece when working the contrasting coloured flower motif.)

(The twisted stitches are not twisted stitches as described in the Ravelry database, but nevertheless result in a travelling slanted stitch that rises above the surrounding fabric - instructions are given in the Abbreviations.)
