With gratitude to Charlie “Yardbird” Parker for choosing this name for one of his compositions…..

“Bird Gets the Worm” is a lace cowl worked in the round designed for fingering weight yarn. The body is worked first, then the edging is knit onto both sides. It blocks very big and open, and it is reversible. The pattern includes both written and charted instructions.

The sample is shown in 250 yards of Chicken Coop Dyeworks Feathers in “Yard Bird”.

Skill Level: intermediate - uses provisional cast on, knitting edging onto the body, and ssp, kttog, skp decreases
