This close-fitting hat is knitted in the round using five colours; it incorporates a fun twist on bobbles with areas of garter, slipped, and travelling stitches to create a densely textured knit. Only two colours are ever in action in a single row with a third colour being slipped.

Pattern is sized for S (M, L) to fit head circumference 45 (53, 58) cm/17.75 (20.75, 22.75)“.

The sample was knitted in Old Maiden Aunt superwash merino 4ply mini skeins in colourways “as you wish”, “berry good”, “blow winds blow”, “dreich”, and “pretty floral bonnet”. This mini-skein pack is available on occasion directly from Old Maiden Aunt; one mini-skein pack is enough to knit the hat in any size.
