Shamrock lace (created by the designer), gorgeous green-tonal heavy-fingering weight yarn, and a waist-length poncho coalesce into this lovely lace poncho you’ll wear with a bit of the “Irish” spirit! A classic edging pattern gets a bit of updating with a trinity of yo’s … repeating the overall three-leaf clover motif of this salute to the Emerald Isle.

The design uses approx 400 yards of heavy fingering (required one skein of Hazel Knits “Artisan Sock”, 90% Merino superwash/10% nylon).

The directions are both charted and row-by-row.

Starting on smaller needles (to avoid a too-large neck-opening), the poncho grows to incorporate six shamrocks round the body with a lace-edging that adds length while binding-off the live stitches.
