Brentrelac is related to entrelac knitting. Brentrelac units are worked with brioche stitches. As typical for brioche the fabric does not curl at the edges. This little coaster is good way to get to know brentrelac.

This is square patch that can be used as a coaster or a dishcloth, started at one of the corners and worked in three parts up towards the end corner. Size is easily customizable by adding as many tiers as preferred. Any weight yarn can be used to make lighter or heavier patch, but the needle size will need to be adjusted according to the yarn weight.
