Gauge: 28 sts & 60 rows = 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch
Each 14 row Lace Border repeat = 4.9 cm / 2” long and 4.5 cm / 1¾” at the widest point

Needles: 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needle, 120 cm / 48” length
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle

Notes: The lace border is worked first, stitches are then picked up and the shawl is worked upwards with shaping created by decreasing 4 sts every RS row. You may find it easier to work the border on short straight needles. Place a stitch marker at regular intervals, e.g. every 50 sts, when picking up stitches from the border to help you keep track of the count.
