Broad Leaf Hat
Here at Tyddyn Bryn we have 9 acres of established woodland and some newly planted woodland as well as some brilliant old and new hedgerows!! I am a Forest School leader as one of my other hats and I have recently rediscovered wood working. Basically I LOVE Trees and find them a source of inspiration… so here is the first pattern in my series of patterns under the title of Into the Woods
The pattern of leaves in this hat echoes a broadleaved woodland, possibly hazel or beech…. the brim is doubled to keep your ear extra warm.
There are 16 rounds of simple colourwork, which would make this hat a good introduction to stranded knitting, plus some simple striping.
I would love to see your finished Broad Leaf Hats, so if you post a picture of them on social media, please use #broadleafhat
