Brooklyn Knitfolk Log Cabin Blanket
The concept of a log cabin style cozy memories blanket is not my original idea, but I thought I would share my pattern recipe for anyone who was curious and wanted to make their own. There are several advantages to knitting a cozy memories blanket in the log cabin style, including:
• The option to use multiple yarn weights in the same blanket
• Grouping yarns into the same log cabin by project, gifter, etc.
• Being able to use your yarn efficiently by knitting small yarn leftovers into the smallest pieces and the larger quantities into the larger spaces.
• This pattern is very flexible to adaptation.
RECOMMENDED TOOLS:
U.S. Size 3 or 4 (16” circular recommended), depending on which fabric you like best. I knit with a U.S. 4 because it was the best size for me achieve the most consistent fabric across many yarn weights.
