This is a lovely chunky knit woolen cowl . The yarn used is a gorgeous multicoloured wool from Katia yarns called “Ushuaia”, but you can use any super-bulky yarn.
The cowl can be knit in the round or flat on straight needles - the instructions are given for both methods.
The cowl is in one piece which slips on easily over the head.
It has rolled edges top and bottom and a stocking st/ stockinette st. body.
It makes a great easy, colourful, warm, cozy and fashionable accessory for Fall/Winter/Spring. The cowl is very comfortable to wear and eliminates the weight and bulk of a long scarf, while still keeping you warm and protected from the elements.
This cowl works for both women and men. You may need two skeins of yarn if making the larger size.
