This is a CROCHET PATTERN to make my Bulky, Friendly Dragon. It’s a thick and warm blanket that works up quickly! It’s designed to cocoon around the feet and calves. It is as fun as it is useful!

I used 9 skeins of worsted weight yarn for the child and 11-12 for the adult size. I held 3 strands together and used a 12 mm hook. One strand of bulky (6) weight yarn may be substituted for the 3 strands of worsted weight yarn. This will cut your yardage to 1/3 that of the worsted weight.

Gauge is about 7 stitches and 5 rows to 4 inches with hdc and 12 mm hook. If your gauge is off in height, but ok in width, you may add rows to increase length as noted in the pattern.
