Captain America Shield Cat Ball Toy

This is a pattern that shows you how to crochet over a plastic cat ball with bell. My puppies were cracking the toy balls so I wanted to puppy proof them and came up with this. I thought I would share for other Pet lovers to make their fur babies a couple. Any yarn color can be used. This is a good way to use yarn scraps as well. I made a couple and then a stroke of cleverness hit me and I attempted to make one that looks like Captain America’s shield. They are holding up pretty well. I crocheted over a couple balls 2 months ago and the puppies have not cracked them.
Enjoy!
