Snug-fitting hat with cable braid edge worked flat, then stitches picked up for body of hat. Button tab closure. Pattern written for M/L size (22 inch head), but recipe given to adjust sizing, so can be made for child to large-headed adult.

Materials needed:
size 6 16” circular needle (or size needed to achieve gauge)
size 6 double=pointed needles
cable needle
170-200 yards of aran or worsted weight yarn
two buttons
darning needle to weave in ends and sew on buttons
