This is a wonderful throw blanket with a Celtic knot shamrock in the center. Gauge is not important and you could use any size yarn you like but it will affect the size. Also you could do the shamrock as color work by doing the purl stitches as knit stitches with a different color. This pattern is charted but also has row by row written directions.
