A great, simple, first time fair isle for fair isle beginners. The consistency of doing repeated squares offers the opportunity to practise getting the tension right with the floats.

Although I said in the pattern it’s for two-hand knitting, you can also just do the “pick up and drop method”. But learning to knit with both hands will keep you from having to twist the yarns.
