Child Tube Sock Recipe
This recipe is intended to give you all the information you need to knit a tube sock with any yarn for any size foot (even adult sizes). There are formulas to put your own information into, ie you will need to do a little math. This information is free.
A paid for companion pattern can be found here. It includes stitch counts and measurements for children sizes 4-13, for four different gauges each.
These socks are knit toe up. I worked my socks 2aat magic loop, but any sock knitting method would work.
There is no ease written into the pattern because children’s feet grow rapidly. If you would like to make socks with negative ease, subtract 5-10% of the total number of stitches.
in my experience, a pair of socks for children under 7 takes less than 50g of fingering weight yarn.
