A simple lace stitch partners with a luscious honeycomb for the main body of this perfectly semi-circular shawl. Another simple lace pattern creates the wide ribbed border.

This easy intermediate pattern is knitted in one piece from the top down. You can choose to change colors or keep it classic with one color.

Materials needed:
1400 yards fingering weight yarn
#4 circular needles, 32” long
Stitch markers

NOTE: For the larger, more colorful version pictured, I used:
-- 1 skein (438 yds.) BaaBoo Orchid
-- 1 skein (438 yds.) BaaBoo Grape Jelly
-- 2 skeins (438 yds. each) of BaaBoo from Hearthside Fibers for the main color, “Wingtips.” However, I used less than a quarter of the second skein.

Finished Size: approximately 26 inches deep from neck to bottom, and 58 inches long from tip to tip. Size is adjustable, however: for a smaller shawl, do fewer repeats of one or more of the stitch patterns. Just keep the increase rows: very important for maintaining the shape!
