Circular Reasoning is worked in the round, beginning with a two colour stranded colourwork pattern and ending with alternating bands of stranded colourwork and slipped stitch texture. The ends are then grafted together to make a seamless double loop cowl. The pattern as written takes approximately 383 yds/350m of Dyed in the Wool and 1000 yds/914m of Debauchery or 500 yds of a heavy fingering/light sport weight yarn. While the slipped stitch pattern adds a textural element, you can also do the entire scarf in stranded colourwork, in which case you will need 463 yds/423m of Dyed in the Wool and 926 yds/846m of Debauchery or 463 yds/423m each of two colours of heavy fingering/light sport weight yarn.
Yarn:
- MC (Spincycle Yarns Debauchery laceweight in Wrath, held double): 1000 yds/914 m
- CC (Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool in Shades of Earth): 383 yds/350m
Notions:
