Claire's Cowl (Knit)
With the release of Starz’s adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s book, Outlander/Cross stitch, there has been a huge interest in the knit wear seen in videos, stills, and promotional shots. Im trying my hand at a written version of what I see on Claire.
This pattern is designed after the cowl shes wearing in one of the promo shots.
It is a One Size pattern, however, it is very easily modified larger or smaller.
Gauge is “almost” not important on this, as long as its soft and has a nice drape to it.
I suggest 2 skeins of the yarn be held together to get the fluffiness and fullness as depicted in the image. I would also say if you would prefer to hold many strands of a lighter weight yarn together to achieve a different look, go for it! 4-6 strands, depending on the weight.
** Sorry about the lack of an image, I was asked to remove it due to Copyright issues. If you would be so kind as to submit a pic of your finished project, I would ever be so greatful! thanks **
