Color Tracks is a slightly slouchy beanie style hat that is fun to knit and very addicting. You have lots of options for color combinations with this pattern. You can use two solid colors, one solid and one self striping, 5 different colors, and even fingering weight held double to use up some leftovers or mini skeins.

This pattern starts with a provisional cast on at the brim, which is joined together after the brim is worked to give a double thick edging for extra warmth. You then work up the hat to the crown decreases through the tracks of color. You will only be working with one strand of yarn in each round.

Enjoy the pattern and if you have any questions please let me know. Also, there is a Mel-Tran Designs group here on Ravelry for those who are knitting my patterns. Please come join us!
