I love columbine flowers and was asked to made a bookmark featuring this glorious flower. I chose blue and white but when making your bookmark you can choose your favorite columbine flower combination.

This pattern works up in about 5 or 6 hours so you can make some for you and your friends quickly. The pattern includes written instructions using U.S. crochet terms. It also has picture tutorials to understand the instructions if needed, and my e-mail address if you have any questions or the pattern or just want to send a picture to show me how your bookmark turned out.

Materials needed: bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10)
29 yards delft blue (or choice of main columbine color)
25 yards white (or choice of contrasting columbine color)
10 yards golden yellow color (or choice of stamen color)
Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm)
sewing needle
Washable Fabric Glue

Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm). This is a larger size hook than usually used with thread crochet. Size 1 hook gives the needed gauge to make the correct size of flower and makes working with thread crochet easier for those who are not comfortable with thread.
