The Columbine Stole is a simple knit and as such is eminently suitable as your first lace project. Experienced knitters might consider it as a relaxing project to mindlessly knit on the side whilst making something more complex.
The lace pattern is much easier to knit than it appears and is explained in a photo tutorial. You only have to knit “holes” on every fourth row. The other three rows are just stockinette. That is what makes this stole a fast and relaxing knit, not one that requires your full attention from start to finish.

You can knit the rectangular shape in any desired size, as a stole or a scarf. This pattern includes detailed additional instructions, making it easy to change the size or deciding the correct amount of yarn to buy for your desired project.

Die Columbine Stola ist ganz einfach zu stricken und eignet sich daher wunderbar als erstes Lochmuster-Projekt. Könner werden diese Stola als einfaches „mindless“ Projekt nebenher zu schätzen wissen.
Das Lochmuster ist viel einfacher zu stricken als es aussieht und wird mit Fotos erklärt. Man muss nur in jeder vierten Reihe „Löcher“ stricken. Die anderen drei Reihen werden dann bis auf den seitlichen Rand einfach glatt rechts gestrickt. Dadurch ist die Stola schnell gestrickt und erfordert nicht ständig die volle Aufmerksamkeit bis zur Fertigstellung.

Man kann die Rechteckform in beliebiger Größe stricken, als Stola oder Schal. Dafür gibt es detaillierte Hinweise, die es leicht machen, die gewünschte Größe zu stricken und die richtige Garnmenge zu kaufen.
Außerdem gibt es einen Workshop, wie man die Maschenzahl des Strickstücks für eine andere Garnstärke umrechnen kann.
