Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Fall 2007: “Pam Allen makes the most of velvety angora in a chunky weight in her Counterpane Pullover, punctuating a dense garter stitch ground with a distinctive lace motif. The front and back are first worked as squares from the center out, which then flow into sleeves, shoulders, and a funnel neck.”

Finished Size: 34 (39, 44, 48)“ bust circumference.

Yarn: Tahki Bunny (50% merino, 25% alpaca, 25% acrylic; 81 yd 74 m/50 g): #008 red, 10 (11, 13, 15) balls.

Yarn Weight: #5 - Bulky

Needles: Size 10½ (6.5 mm): double-pointed (dpn), 16” and 29” circulars (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); removable marker; waste yarn; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Note: The front and back of this pullover are made identically. Each piece is worked as a square from the center outward, then the sides of each square are worked in rows to create a rectangular shape for the body. The sides are eventually worked into the sleeves, shoulders, and neck.
