Craon is a triangular shawl. It uses garter stitch on the sides, and a center pattern of slipped stitches on a base of stockinette stitch. The shawl is knitted along the smaller side, so rows are never too long, the largest row is 130 stitches wide. The shawl is divided in two broad parts, the increase sections, up to the end of section two, and the decrease sections. The increase section accounts for a third of the shawl, knitwise and yard-wise.

Craon est un châle triangulaire. Il utilise du point mousse sur les cotés et une portion centrale avec des mailles glissées sur une base de jersey. Le châle est tricoté dans la largeur, les rangs ne sont jamais très longs, le plus grand est de 130 mailles. Le châle est divisé en deux grandes parties, les augmentations et les diminutions. Les deux sections d’augmentations représentent le premier tiers du châle.
