Looking for an instant gratification weekend project? Crosstown knits up quickly in sport weight yarn with big needles.
Crosstown is a top down triangular shawl, featuring angled stockinette sections separated by lace columns. Crosstown is easily adapted for lighter weight yarns by using and working extra pattern repeats.
Yarn:
330-660 yards sport weight, or 400-800 yds fingering or lace weight yarn
Needles:
US 6-10 (4.0 – 6.0 mm) circular
Size:
Adjustable
Sample is 48” (122 cm) wide by 24” (61 cm) deep.
Notions:
5 stitch markers (3 of type A and 2 of type B)
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Skills:
- Knit/Purl
- Tab Cast On (including provisional cast on)
- Basic Lace
Sample knit with 1 skein of Annie Sport in Amethyst Dawn on US#10 (6.0mm) needles.
