Currach Stole
This stole features an easy lace pattern that looks like currachs, small curved-hull Irish fishing boats, bobbing through the waves. This project knits up quickly using DK-weight yarn, and can be knit using multiple colors, but would also look great in a solid color.
This pattern was originally released through the Ennea Collective using a handspun cormo wool in three natural colors. The new sample, knit in Freya DK, is in Skygazer (MC), Atlantic (CC1) and Low Tide (CC2).
The pattern has been updated as of September 2012 to include sizing for a 14 x 48” shawlette (pictured in blues) and an 18-1/2 x 60” shawl.
