Dandylion kitty cat
This is a .pdf crochet pattern, written in standard American crochet terms for Dandylion the kitty cat. With this very easy pattern, you can make a super cute and playful cat. Look at his expression, he looks just as mischievous as they can look!
Size
9.1 inch/23 cm long, when made with worsted weight yarn.
Materials and tools needed
For this cat you’ll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need three or four colours of yarn, grey (1/3 of a 100 yard skein), light grey (1/3) and white (1/5) and a little bit of mixed black for the tip of the tail. These quantities are estimates. For the eyes I’ve used 8 mm animal eyes with felt patches behind them. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). Pipe cleaners are optional. Lopi colour numbers: 0058, 0056 and 0051.
The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right. All my patterns are text edited for correct English and have been tested by an experienced crocheter before publishing.
Yarn
Istex Lett lopi. I strongly recommend using a fuzzy yarn because it gives the best result.
Gauge
Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.
