Knitting pattern in 3 different sizes.
Project name comes from the idea of creating something traditional, conventional from a natural coloured, tweed yarn.

CONSTRUCTION SUMMARY
This is a worked-flat, seamed, stretchy vest / waistcoat with V-neck, cablework, 5 buttons and crochet edgings.

FIT: snug fitting / negative ease

SIZING
This pattern is similar to ribbing, therefore the finished bust measurements are smaller than usual, because some stretch is calculated. When in doubt please choose the smaller size for a fitted cut.
The design focuses on cable pattern therefore armhole and front slope shapings vary in different sizes. In the pictures you can see the vest / waistcoat in size M, the mannequin is a size EU 38.

SIZES: S / M / (L)
Bust without stretching: 80 cm / 88 cm / 96 cm
To fit bust: 34-36 in / 38-40 in / 42-44 in
Length approx. 50 cm / 52 cm / 54 cm

DIFFICULTY: intermediate

SKILLS REQUIRED: CO, ribbing, cablework, decreasing, BO, basic crochet stitches

NOTES: This pattern applies slip stitch selvedge edge on both ends of work, which give nice and even selvedges for further crochet joining. Please use this technique to give a perfect finish to your project and to avoid having too many sts on edges before crocheting.
Edge stitch: Work a twisted knit stitch (1 Hold the yarn behind the work. 2 Insert the right needle into the back of the first stitch on the left needle. 3 Wrap the yarn and pull it through as for a normal knit stitch. 4 Slip the stitch off the left needle.)
Slip stitch: slip purlwise
