A timeless fitted cardigan with slipped stitch patterning and neat set-in sleeves
Yarn and yardage: Buachaille (100% Scottish Wool; 110m / 120yds per 50g skein) shown in shade: Macallum 8 (9, 10, 11, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) x 50g skeins.
Or 875 (930, 1055, 1105, 1185, 1240, 1365, 1465, 1605, 1685) m / 960 (1025, 1155, 1215, 1300, 1365, 1505, 1610, 1760, 1850) yds of sportweight / light DK yarn that knits to gauge. Yarn quantities are approximate, and include a 5% margin to allow for swatching and small differences in gauge. If you intend to add length to either sleeves or body, be sure to buy an extra skein of yarn.
Needles and Notions
Two 80cm / 32in long gauge-size and below-gauge-size circular needles for working the body and button band.
Two 2mm (US 0) circular needles for picking up stitches.
Gauge-size needles of your preferred type for working sleeves in the round.
2 gauge-size dpns.
6 buttons. 6 x1.5cm / ½in snap fasteners
0.9m / 1yd grosgrain ribbon or linen tape (4-5cm / 1½-2in wide) for button band lining. Waste yarn. Stitch markers. Tapestry needle. Sewing needle. Cotton sewing thread that matches ribbon.

For a neat fit, select the size that is nearest to, or just above, your actual bust measurement. For a close(r) fit, select the size below your actual measurements. Shown in the first size with a close fit and 1 inch negative ease. A detailed sizing table is included in the pattern.
