Sizes: 1 (2) - 127 (163) cm / 50 (64)” wide x 41 (52) cm /
16 (20½)” deep

Yarn: The Fibre Company Road to China Light
(Sportweight; 65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% cashmere,
10% camel; 145 m / 159 yds per 50 g skein)
Shade: Cobalt; 2 (3) skeins

Gauge: 17 sts & 28 rows = 10 cm / 4” over Lace Rib
pattern
To check gauge, cast on a multiple of 4 stitches plus 2 edge
stitches and work Lace Rib as follows:
Row 1 (RS): K4, yo, k2tog, k2 to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 2 (WS): K2, p to last 2 sts, k2.
Rep rows 1-2 for pattern.
Note: The fabric is slightly biased and will lean to the
right. Measure row-gauge along a single column of
stitches, not vertically.

Needles: 4 mm / US 6 circular needle, minimum 80 cm /
32” length
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct
gauge after blocking.

Notions: 3 stitch markers, 1 locking stitch marker

Notes: The lace is simple to knit, with stitch markers
taking care of most of the counting, and purled ‘rest’
rows on every wrong-side row. The locking stitch marker
indicates the central ‘spine’ stitch. Move it up with each
row you work to keep track of the central stitch. This
pattern is written instructions only – there are no charts
