The inspiration for this piece is fashion of the 50’s, particularity, the stoles from Perry Mason, the television series. Many elegant characters in the series sported mink (or other fur) stoles--there was even an occasional knit version--including Perry’s intrepid confidential secretary, Della Street! I pay homage to her class and style with this piece!

I love a piece of clothing that is elegant and functional--this stole would look great over a dress for a dressy occasion or over a coat for extra warmth and glamour. It would dress up any look for that matter!

While you could use almost any dk-weight yarn, I used a 100% Mohair from New Zealand for my sample.
