Oldies but Goldies – It’s Time to Say Goodbye!

As you may know, I strive for perfection in both my knitting and pattern writing.

When I started 11 years ago, my pattern writing skills weren’t as developed as they are today. While these older patterns aren’t bad, they no longer meet my current standards and many are not size-inclusive.

Draped for a flattering silhouette this warm dress will bring you through cold winter days …
As a dress or long sweater, worn on right side or – more casual – inside out.
The mix of two colours and materials will arrest additional attraction.
Started from the collar in the round, then separated for front, back and sleeves. Front and sleeves are knit in a triangle shape to provide material for the drapings.

Rechts getragen oder - etwas sportlicher - auf der linken Seite.
Als Pullover oder warmes Winterkleid mit figurfreundlicher Raffung und interessantem Materialmix.

Vom Kragen beginnender Raglan. Nur glatt rechts gestrickt, der Körper wird geteilt, um die Form für die Raffung zu schaffen.
Locker verstrickt, damit es schön weich fällt.

Yarn held double: Merino or sock yarn (175-200m(190-220y/50g) and Kid Mohair in contrast. colour (350-400m(385-440y)/50g)
If you decide to use only one strand, it should be a worsted or aran weght yarn, matching the gauge.
Yarn consumption for dress: 1300-1400-1550-1650-1800 m / 1430-1540-1660-1800-2000y
Yarn consumption for sweater: 1000-1100-1200-1300-1400m / 1100-1220-1330-1440-1600y
Yarn consumption may differ depending on quality used!

Circular needles, 80-100cm to obtain gauge. ca. 4-5 mm / US 6-8, matching 2nd circulars, 60cm
4 stitch markers

Zweifädig gestrickt: Merinowolle oder Sockengarn (175-200m/50g) und Kid Mohair (350-400m Lauflänge/50g) .
Garn-Alternativen: Wenn sie zwei gleichwertige, glattere Garne (z. B. Merino) verwenden, sollte die Summe beider Garne ca. 85-95m/50g ergeben (Lauflänge beider Garne zusammenzählen und durch 4 dividieren). Besonders flauschige Garne wie Kid Mohair oder Angora erzeugen mehr Volumen (ca. 1,5-2fach), daher können sie dünner sein (ca. 110-125m/50g). Verbrauch kann je Garn variieren.

Verbrauch für Kleid gesamt ca.: 1300-1400-1550-1650-1800 m je Qualität
Verbrauch für Pulli: ca. 1000-1100-1200-1300-1400m je Qualität
Rundstrick-Nadeln ca. 80-100cm, ca. 4,5-5,5mm oder passend zur Maschenprobe
