Take an unusual stitch pattern, such as the wave stitch, intersperse it between alternating garter rows, stockinette stitch rows, and varying drop-stitch rows, then knit it on the diagonal into modular triangles---and you have created a complicated-looking scarf. Using this technique enables you to see progress quickly, and impress others with your knitting prowress.
While any worsted weight yarn will work, self-striping yarns with long colorways are particularly striking. Approximate one and one-half skeins of Bernat Mosaic were used in this version.
Pattern is presented in written, row-by-row chart, with handy row completion check boxes included.
