Dimasq 1
The pattern for Dimasq is written and illustrated by photographs - available in English and German.
You can make it in any yarn and any size, but since stranded knitting tends to be very warming, I recommend a 4-ply yarn. Gauge is not important.
I used about 5 skeins of Regia 4-ply: 3 in background color, 2 in contrast color. That gives you a pretty big wrap that you can wrap around your shoulders and almost sit on (I’m extremely tall, so most of you will be able to sit on it!)
Expect to use needles that are larger than what the label calls for. Stranded color work needs room. You need a set of DPNS and circulars of various lengths.
You also need a crochet hook and some contrasting sock yarn to secure the steek stitches, plus a tapestry needle. A small pair of scissors to cut.
This is a nice exercise in steeking.
I will also publish this pattern as a double face edition.
