Dirghagama Baby Cardigan
I wanted to make a cardigan that would be the perfect baby shower gift to give to anyone expecting a little girl. Originally made for the baby of a lovely lady, who studies the Dīrgha Āgama, this had to be the name of the pattern as well.
I have made a new version in sizes 3 months till 8 years in DK/8-ply yarn - see Dirghagama girl cardigan for sale
The pattern is made to fit a 6 months old baby (using the Craft Yarn Council’s measurements), but of course babies are born different sizes. So, maybe it will fit from birth for a large baby or maybe it will fit from 1 year for a very small baby. I made it this particular size so that there is a relatively big chance of it fitting most babies at some point in their first year.
I hope you enjoy knitting this quick and simple 1 ball project and I am looking forward to seeing your versions of it :-)
I would love to see your projects on my Facebook page or Instagram too.

Update 27.08.2013: Danish version now available - this is not a full translation but rather a version with Danish explanations helping Danish knitters to understand the English pattern
Update 16.08.2013: Spanish version now available - thank you to HilosyLanas :-)
Update 12.08.2013: Newest version of the pattern where the confusion around the rows where the stitch markers are dropped should be solved.
Translation:
The pattern will so far be translated into Danish and Spanish. If you are interested in translating the pattern into other languages please pm me :-)
