English

Do you find stockinette easy, calm, soothing, and -- dare I say it? -- a little boring? No more! This striking pullover features bold stockinette stripes, kicked up a notch with increases and decreases that create a bias knit fabric.

The pullover is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. Once the body is completed, sleeves are joined to live body stitches while being worked. The construction is intriguing but easy; detailed photographs and instructions will guide you through the unusual section.

Sizing
Finished chest sizes:
82.5, 88.25, 93.25, 99, 104.25, 107.25, 118, 129, 139.75 cm /
32½ , 34¾ , 36¾ , 39, 41, 42¼ , 46½ , 50¾ , 55 inches

Fit
The bias fabric fits differently from what you may be used to. If you are between sizes, opt for the smaller size for a trimmer fit.

Note that due to the fixed geometry of the body triangles, the larger sizes have a more pronounced dolman sleeve effect than the smaller sizes.

CC: 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5 skeins

Gauge
24.5 sts and 37 rows per 10cm/4in, over stockinette worked flat

Needles and Notions
• Main needle: 3.5mm/US4 circular needle, or size to get pattern gauge, 60cm/24in long
• Sleeve needle: dpns or long circular in same size as main needle
• Spare circular needle, same size or smaller than main needle, to hold body stitches while being attached to sleeves; preferably a different colour/material from main needle to distinguish it easily
• Ribbing needle(s): 3.0mm/US3 circular needle and dpns, or one size down from main needle, for small and large circumferences
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Scrap yarn 1m/1yd to hold half body sts during first sleeve
• Four stitch markers

Pattern Information
To improve readability and avoid long strings of numbers for all sizes in the pattern, letters are given instead. Knitters should refer to a chart in the pattern and write down the number for their size corresponding to that letter. The pattern is written in standard knitting abbreviations.
