This blanket is inspired by the colours of the sigil of Dorne (one of the Seven Kingdoms in Game of Thrones).

The blanket is based on a traditional granny square. You keep repeating the groups of 3dc to achieve a square as large as you want.
It’s an easy pattern but using solid and variegated yarn gives it a funny touch.

For the blanket in the pictures, I used 19 skeins of yarn, and the finished project measures 170x170cm.
