Dorothy
25/07/11 The document was updated to make the instructions clearer (fingers crossed) and to fix each of the glitches stated here and on the KAL thread.
19/05 there is yet another rogue st on the second repeat chart (right side only) Second row, 20th column.
If you’ve printed the charts already, please cross that st out.
There is a chance that other little things are wrong with the charts (extra sts and the such), so I’ll wait a little longer before releasing an update. The reason being, people get confused if I release an updated version every time a little glitch is caught. Hope you guys understand.
Happy Friday the 13th! From today to next Friday (20th) you can get a 20% discount coupon if you join the KAL here.
12/05/2011 We’re starting a KAL in a few days over here. Come join us, it will be fun!
Dorothy is an ethereal shawl, knit from the neck down with a crocheted chain bind off.
This pattern has an interesting construction, where there are always an odd number of elements going on.
This shawl can be knit in a variety of different yarn weights from gossamer to sport weight. Due to the yarn overs, the end result will be very open.
If you like double yarn overs this pattern is for you (they are all over the shawl). Dorothy is a great pattern to challenge yourself with. It isn’t, by any means a mindless knit, this is a pattern for when you’re focused or want something to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Recommended for intermediate skill level.
