This a simple sock pattern, but with the added bonus of the wonderful rosebud pattern (used with permission) from the Downton KAL pattern. You have the option of changing the cuff, discarding the eyelets, adding beads if that takes your fancy and doing the heel and toe of your choice. Instructions are included for cuff, heel and toe!
I have based this on 3 years of sock knitting and about 40 of knitting other things - if you know you are a baggy knitter use smaller needles, if you tend the other way - use bigger needles. If you end up with socks too big or too small there will always be a willing recipient. This is my first published pattern, and I just know I will have made a typo somewhere - so please look at it carefully - if you think something doesn’t make sense - ask, and I will amend the pattern. I have used what I consider to be standard notation - if it isn’t clear - ask!
