Durrow Sweater
Pattern description from The Celtic Collection: “The use of a coloured geometric motif within a knotwork pattern is a recurrent theme in many illuminated manuscripts. The Book of Durrow, now in Trinity College, Dublin, with its bold knotwork in black, gold, red and green, inspired both my choice of colours and use of knotwork in this design. I have used a panel based on these ideas for the centre back and front of this sweater, then I highlighted the ribbed borders with tripes in the same bright colours.”
