You can always use another hot pad, huh? This is a project that I designed “on demand” for my sister-in-law, and I needed to work fast. I used only really basic stitches, and should be fun for those just beginning to crochet.

I really like that the edging looks really snazzy but is sooo easy to make.

Stitches used: chain, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch, single crochet in back loops only. And that’s it. Just do it.

Think of this pattern as a template, if you have thicker yarn and want to use one strand where I used two, etc, just go with it. But I do recommend you do the blo sc row, it gives such a sweet texture to the edging.

This is not the most imaginative design I’ve made, but hey, I’m trying.
