This pattern corrects the idea of the scarf from Elementary Thursday (2/28/2013) worn by Dr. Watson, played by Lucy Liu in the CBS hit Elementary staring Lucy Liu, Jonny Lee Miller and Aidan Quinn.

We took the image of the scarf from the TV Show and corrected the design. In Elementary, Dr Watson can only wear the scarf one way, with the hideous seam hidden under her hair.

Directions
The reason for doing it correctly (in the round) is to assure you have no unsightly joining stitches. As we all know, when you join the ends of a scarf, the width changes and leaves a noticeable line. If you look in the photo (from the awesome show Elementary), you can see the seam, awful. Would you be caught wearing that, Just Say NO.

Pattern Notes
This particular cowl/scarf looks complicated, it is confusing but simple. This is my first pattern so I will try my best to be as clear as possible, if you find a problem, let me know and I will fix the issue (note that you found my mistake) and put up a new version for everyone.

Gauge
I hate the gauge part, it just feels so arbitrary, with my stitches and this yarn I found 12st deep x 15.6st wide = 4 x 4 inches. After you cast on the first scarf-ete and do one or two rows, I would suggest you measure your work, you need three 63” scarf-ete’s to braid into a 55 “ cowl. It depends on how tight you stitch, the yarn you use and how you tack them together.

Gauges provided in patterns aren’t all that important to me, but I’m still a newbie to knitting. Since the Elementary Infinity cowl/scarf is not knit flat there will be no unsightly seams, just the most amazing piece of artwork hanging around your loved ones neck.

Materials Needed:
• Yarn - I used Lambs Pride Super Bulky, 625 yards. I suggest you use yarn from your stash, just have fun with the Elementary Infinity cowl/scarf
• Knitting needles - I used three 48” size 5.5mm circular
• Tape measure (longer than 5 foot)
• stitch marker
• Electrical tape or narrow tape (you will see what for later)

Since this is our first pattern we are listing I’m sure we have something wrong, contact us directly at bleam@outlook.com
