Elton’s Newsies hat is knit in the round from the top down in one piece. Because it uses the Magic Loop Method it would be considered an Intermediate Skill Level pattern. However, I would say an ambitious Advanced Beginner could take it slow and be just fine.

This pattern works best in a heavy worsted/aran weight yarn with a bit of texture, like a tweed. Slippery or silky yarns are not recommended.

This pattern is for sizes Newborn, 3-6mos, 6-12mos, 12mos with approximate circumferences of 12”, 14”, 16”, 18”.
