*12/4/16: there was a typo in the lace chart key. The key has been corrected and the new version was emailed to everyone who had previously downloaded it. You can also re-download the pattern from my blog.*

Created specifically to highlight the luxurious fiber and stunning gradient colorway, the Emerald Isle Shawl adds maximum elegance to any outfit with just one skein of yarn, making a decadent yarn budget-friendly.

The lace border features a triple leaf detail, reminiscent of a clover. Each row of the lace repeat is fairly easy to remember as you work across. Once the lace is finished, it’s quick and simple shaping with short rows to form a gentle crescent that hugs your shoulders.

Note: I recommend using a larger size needle for the cast-on to ensure a stretchy lace edge. I used the same size (8) and while it turned out fine, I notice a slight amount of rolling from the cast-on.
