Emmalina Hat
I’m intrigued by the variety of stitch patterns used in traditional twisted stitch designs. With Emmalina, I transformed tradition into contemporary. Featuring twisted stitches and winding cables, this pattern provides plenty of variety to keep the knitting interesting. Knitters will appreciate little details like cables that grow out of the ribbing, and the flower design formed by the crown’s clever decreases.
Some tricky and unusual instructions are used for the decrease section of the hat, so the pattern is best for intermediate or higher skill levels. Special decreases are illustrated with photos, and there is a link to an AudKnits YouTube demonstration as well.
Blocking Note When wet blocking, gently pull the base of the hat downward to ensure the hat ends up long enough.
